The Parkview Foundation is proud to recognize Steve and Cheryl Shirley for their unwavering commitment to our mission and their extraordinary service to the Pueblo community.
Together, Steve and Cheryl have dedicated decades to improving the lives of others—not only through their professional leadership, but through their deep and consistent investment in causes that uplift and serve.
Cheryl has spent more than 25 years helping local families as a leader in the mortgage industry, while also giving back through her work with the Parkview Foundation, the Pueblo Charter Lions Club, and Special Olympics Pueblo. Her passion for service and community shines through in every role she takes on.
Steve has made a lasting impact across sectors—from banking to manufacturing to healthcare—culminating in 13 years of service as Parkview Medical Center’s CIO and Vice President of IT. He has served on more than a dozen local boards, chaired major community efforts, and championed organizations that shape Pueblo’s future.
Their service has touched countless lives, and their example reminds us all what it means to give with both heart and purpose. We are deeply grateful for all they have done—and continue to do—for Parkview and the greater Pueblo community.
Proceeds from this event will benefit UCHealth Parkview’s new whole blood initiative, which equips EMS responders with the tools to deliver Type O whole blood to trauma patients before they reach the hospital. By partnering with AMR, UCHealth Parkview has made it possible to administer life-saving transfusions in the field — bringing hospital-level care directly at the scene. This initiative benefits both patients and providers. It significantly improves survival rates, shortens ICU stays, and enhances recovery, especially in rural and hard-to-reach areas of southern Colorado.
